Rayan Rupert intègre le cinq des Breakers qui enchaînent les succès

La saison passée, les New Zealand Breakers ont enchaîné les défaites en NBL, la principale ligue masculine australienne. Sur ce début de saison 2022-2023, ils retrouvent goût au succès. Battu après prolongation chez le Melbourne United (101-97) pour démarrer la saison, les joueurs de Mody Maor ont depuis enchaîné trois victoires. A l’occasion d’une double-confrontation ce week-end, ils ont titularisé avec succès leur jeune arrière français Rayan Rupert. Chez le South East Melbourne Phoenix (77-85), le Sarthois a cumulé 10 points à 4/11 aux tirs, 6 rebonds, 3 passes décisives et 3 balles perdues pour 9 d’évaluation en 34 minutes. Ce lundi, chez les Illawarra Hawks, ils ont fait la course en tête (62-88) avec un Rayan Rupert encore intéressant (11 points à 4/9, 4 rebonds et 1 passe décisive pour 9 d’évaluation en 25 minutes). Surtout, ses qualités défensives ont été remarquées. Prometteur !
